The Kitchen Shrink: How the Food We Eat Is the Key to How We Love

A reflective exploration of attachment theory through the lens of food, cooking, and eating habits.

I was genuinely amazed by almost every chapter of this book. It was an easy and engaging read, but at the same time it opened a completely new lens for me.

I’ve read a few psychology books before, but this one felt different. It connects food, cooking, and eating habits with attachment styles and emotional patterns in a way that feels both intuitive and revealing. It helped me see people’s pain, their ways of loving, and even their coping mechanisms from a perspective I hadn’t considered before.

I’m not a psychologist, and I didn’t approach it as an academic reference on attachment theory. I simply wanted a starting point to understand the basics of attachment, and this book turned out to be a very good entry point.

If I get the chance, I would gladly read it again.
